Estate Agency Group Grows in Leaps and Bounds
October 30 - As the only Black owned real estate group in South Africa, Leapfrog Property pays special attention to retaining as many of its employees as possible, despite the economic climate.
As such, the Managing Director of Leapfrog, Bruce Swain was pleased with the fact that the number of agents working through the group has remained static.
This is considered exceptional, especially within an environment where only 30,000 agents are still operating in South Africa's property market - down from 80,000 registered agents in 2006.
Leapfrog Property Group has continued to grow in leaps and bounds since it first launched in June 2007, even as the market continued to decline.
What is more remarkable is that in the past 18 months, the group has managed to expand by a further 8 offices, employing 350 agents in a total of 50 offices across the width and breadth of South Africa.
Swain outlined what he considered to be the property group's success.
"Leapfrog's methodology is that of championing the agent, rather than bolstering a new family owned elite structures," he said. "At Leapfrog, we cherish the relationship that exists between the franchisor and franchisee and we take a vested interest in our people.
"As such," said Swain, "the responsibility lies with us to assist and help our agents wherever possible and we choose to weather the storm with them, rather than leave them out in the cold."
Swain noted that the change in the home loan climate, along with lower interest rates, was also impacting the group in a positive way.
